We provide one on one coaching to CEOs, Executive Directors and senior staff members on how to improve their effectiveness and presence as a leader, minimize stress, and build the capacity of their teams. In addition, we serve as a sounding board for the leader undergoing personal or professional challenges or transition. In each case, the coaching is designed to assist the client to meet his/her individual goals. We establish benchmarks to measure the success of the coaching work. The duration of the coaching relationship varies based on the client’s needs – from one session for some clients, to ongoing relationships over many years for others.
We offer a tested two day coaching training program for human service professionals interested in developing the coaching mindset and skillset to be effective coaching managers and supervisors of their direct support staff. We also offer a special train the trainer program for organizations that serve people with developmental disabilities. This training builds a coaching mindset and skill set for direct support professionals and leadership to support the successful implementation of a coaching culture and to meet the requirements of the Final Rule.
Change Management and Strategic Planning:
We work with the client organization to develop and implement thorough and useful change management and strategic planning processes. Our role is to facilitate change planning and implementation in a way that helps the whole organization envision its future and develop realistic strategies to achieve that envisioned future. We work closely with each client to insure the planning and change processes reflect the organization’s culture and mission and are themselves a team building experience for the whole staff and board.
Our training programs are facilitated interactive team learning sessions, often co-led by the client’s internal experts. Training content can include: understanding the role of the leader, giving and receiving feedback, conducting performance appraisal, establishing and clarifying expectations, delegation and time management. We may use the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator as a tool to build individual and interpersonal understanding.
We provide neutral facilitation of focus groups, stakeholder meetings, Board meetings, staff and Board retreats, and intergovernmental agencies. We use consensus building strategies to insure that all parties are respected and heard, all input considered, and the final results will be supported by all participants.
